Who is responsible for your data
This notice explains how foxy-gold.org.uk handles personal data when you read our independent coverage of Foxygold and other operators. We are an information portal, not the casino brand itself, so this document covers only what happens on our own pages – not what Foxygold or any other operator does once you register on its own platform.
Where this notice refers to "we" or "us", it means the team running this portal. Any questions about how we process your data should go to [email protected], not to the operator.
What reaches us
We collect a limited set of information from anyone browsing this site. Some of it is gathered automatically, some only if you choose to hand it over.
- Technical data such as browser type, device, approximate location and pages viewed
- Cookie identifiers, covered in full in our separate cookie policy
- Anything you submit yourself, for instance through a contact form – your name, email address and message
- Basic analytics events used to understand which articles are read
We do not ask visitors for financial details, identity documents or account credentials of any kind. If a page ever asked for those, it would not be this one.
Purposes and lawful basis
We process this data to run the site properly: keeping pages working, understanding readership, and replying when someone contacts us. Our lawful basis is usually legitimate interest in operating an editorial site, or consent where a cookie banner asks for it first. Contact-form data is processed to answer your message, nothing more.
Who else sees it
We share data only where it is genuinely needed to run the site – with hosting providers, analytics tools and, where used, advertising partners who help fund independent reviews like this one. None of these partners are the casino brands we write about, and we never sell personal data to anyone.
Foxygold itself receives nothing from us: if you later register on the operator's own platform, that relationship and its own privacy terms are between you and the operator, not us.
Your UK GDPR rights
Under the UK GDPR and the Data Protection Act 2018, you can ask us to:
- Confirm what personal data we hold about you and give you a copy
- Correct anything that is inaccurate or incomplete
- Delete data we no longer have a reason to keep
- Restrict or object to certain processing
- Receive your data in a portable format
- Withdraw consent at any point where consent was the basis
Send any of these requests to [email protected] and we will respond within the statutory timeframe. If you remain unhappy with how we've handled a request, you can complain to the Information Commissioner's Office (ICO), the UK's independent supervisory authority.
How long it is kept
We keep contact-form correspondence only as long as needed to deal with your query and to keep a reasonable record afterwards. Analytics and cookie data is retained for a limited period before it is aggregated or deleted automatically – see the cookie policy for the specifics of individual cookies. We do not keep data indefinitely simply because storage is cheap.
Protecting minors
This site, and the gambling content it discusses, is intended strictly for adults aged 18+. We do not knowingly collect data from anyone under 18. If a parent or guardian believes a minor has submitted information to us, contact [email protected] and it will be removed. Where a device is shared with a younger person, tools such as Net Nanny or Qustodio can help keep gambling-related content out of reach.
Changes to this notice
We may update this policy as the site or the law changes. Material changes will be reflected on this page with a new date, so it's worth checking back occasionally rather than relying on a single reading.
